Tulane Healthy Brain Aging Initiative

The Healthy Brain Aging Initiative at University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA aims to reduce the lifetime risk for Alzheimer's disease (currently 1 in 5 women, 1 in 10 men), and to promote cognitive SuperAging into the 90's. Our team of neurologists will work with you to create a personalized plan to minimize these risks, which may include dietary adjustments, cognitive therapies, and lifestyle modifications. By focusing on brain health, we aim to enhance your quality of life and prevent the onset of aging brain disorders. We operate three specialized centers related to Healthy Brain Aging: the Center for Alzheimer’s/Dementia Prevention, the Center for Memory Disorders Treatment, and the Center for Movement Disorders, each dedicated to providing comprehensive care.  Join us in taking proactive steps towards maintaining and improving your cognitive health, or treating it.
