Biography
Dr. Aaron C. Sigler is a board eligible neurosurgeon who completed his residency training through the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center, both in New Jersey, as well as a fellowship in Advanced Endoscopic and Open Skull Base Tumors at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He specializes in tumors of the skull base through traditional open and advanced endoscopic approaches, tumors of the brain, simple spine surgery, and general neurosurgery.
As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Sigler’s approach to his patients is a more holistic one which views the patient as a person with a mind, body, and spirit rather than the sum of their medical problems. This philosophical approach prompts him to consider and attempt more conservative means before recommending surgery for his patients. When surgery is recommended, the most appropriate surgery is selected in a partnership with the patient and their family.
Dr. Sigler is a Tulane physician that sees patients at Baton Rouge General as part of a partnership with Tulane University, where he is an assistant professor of neurosurgery in the in the department of Neurosurgery.
